so this came into the shop today. It was a 2016 Honda accord EX, black automatic etc. And the customer wanted pumpkin colored leather. So we obliged.

I read pumpkin and immediately thought it would be ugly. But that looks really great!

People get their Accord’s re-upholstered?! Seriously? If it’s okay to ask how much does a job like this cost?
It looks fantastic but on an Accord.... I just can’t get over this for some reason.

One of the reasons I did NOT buy a secondhand S60R.

That’s the bread and butter of our business. We do about 20-30 accords and Altimas a week.
And about a grand for a typical sedan.

It took me a long time to figure out that whitetrashsteve and fancypants steve was the same person.
The only thing that gave it away was this talk of aftermarket leather seats. I would’ve never figured it out otherwise.

Is that for real leather? I’m honestly in shock right now haha. What else do people bring in?

That color is genuine leather. We have kits sewn up based on the factory cloth. A lot of people want leather in models or trim levels that don’t actually get it from the factory and that’s where we come in. Most kits are actually leather with vinyl trim - seating surfaces are cowhide but the backs and skirts along the bottom of the seats are vinyl. That’s pretty standard across the industry whether it’s factory or aftermarket. The company I work for is a division of roadwire and at various times we have been the oem supplier for Subaru, some ford models, Roush and Saleen, and some GM cars. Roadwire and Katzkin are the two biggest names in that business
